Welcome to Third Grade
Welcome to 3rd grade at Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School! This year we will be learning many new things. In religion we will study many Bible Stories from the Old and New Testament. In math, we will be working on improving our addition and subtraction skills as well as exploring multiplication, division, and fractions. We will be working to improve our reading and writing skills using readers' workshop, phonics, language, and writer’s workshop. We will be working on improving our accuracy, fluency, and comprehension as well as writing passages. In addition, we will be learning how to write in cursive. In science we will be exploring a variety of topics including force and motion, weather, and life cycles. Social studies topics include geography, history, economics, and civics. I am excited to begin this journey of learning!
