Welcome to First Grade at Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School! Iowa Great Lakes Lutheran School provides a Christ Centered Education. First grade students engage in religion lessons every day, are encouraged to show christian love in all aspects of their lives, memorize and recite memory verses weekly.

My mission, as a teacher, is to educate children through an integrated curriculum, to increase their self-image, and to produce confident-respectful members of our society.
Core Beliefs
All children have the ability to learn. Each student's individuality can bring new ideas to the classroom. Social development is the foundation for further growth within education. Teachers should model how to use educational tools, while inspiring students to find their own solutions. Curriculum should guide an educational setting, yet give educators the opportunity to personalize their educational environment.
